Campaign News
(COLUMBIA) – State Superintendent of Education Jim Rex, the Democratic frontrunner in next year’s race for Governor, today announced a diverse list of supporters from throughout the state who have pledged their support to his candidacy. The list, headlined by former First Congressional District candidate Linda Ketner and Rock Hill Mayor Doug Echols, includes local elected officials, Democratic party officers, and other community leaders.
“I am gratified by the early support of these individuals from across our state,” said Rex. “They know that in order for our state to move forward, we must create jobs and a growing economy, a government committed to accountability and living within its means, a state committed to improving schools, and leadership that accurately reflects our values. I am proud to have their support.”
