Ketner wants Rex in governor's race

Charleston businesswoman and former 1st Congressional District hopeful Linda Ketner has urged state Superintendent of Education Jim Rex to run for governor next year.
"Jim Rex is a man of honor and integrity -- a real servant leader," Ketner said in a statement released by Rex\'s exploratory campaign. "He has been a courageous leader for our schools, making progress in the face of falling budgets and partisan bickering, and that\'s exactly what he would do as governor."
Ketner is president of KSI Leadership & Management Development, a business consulting firm. Last year, she ran as a Democrat and lost to incumbent Republican Rep. Henry Brown by a 52-48 margin.
Rex is expected to decide whether he will run for governor or seek re-election to his current post early next month.
